It's Only a Test

If you are in a difficult time in your life please trust and believe that The Creator "got chu." Don't fear what comes to test or try you, God knew it would come. Your and my duty under trial is to trust and believe without fear and cowardice. The Scripture says to us:

Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you…” (1 Peter 4.12). Chambers says "If we do think the things we encounter are strange, it is because we are fearful and cowardly." The prophet Isaiah said, God said, "So, do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious (righteous) right hand" (41:10).

There's an oft repeated prayer by the Muslims that goes: "I seek refuge in Allah (God) from anxiety and grief, from the lack of strength and laziness, from cowardice and niggardliness. From being overpowered by debt and the oppression of men. Suffice me with what is lawful and keep me away from what is prohibited. And with your grace make me free from want of what is beside you." In times of trial or distress remember that it is only a test; and that God has given you and put inside you all you need to pass it. -Peace, Amen, Ameen, Ase

Unity Among...

The reason I believe in unity among the various faith traditions especially those of the three Abrahamic Faiths is because Satan, the Devil, Shaitan, Beelzebub, the Evil One, etc. has the whole world of religion blinded like the Sons of God in the book of Job (who didn't even know Satan had come with them). This is all because of fervent arguments over doctrines and dogmas that keep our attention off of him (our common and open enemy) that prevent us from uniting to destroy this world of evil along with the Satanic mind that purveys in it. So, if you are person who loves truth that stands against the wiles of Satan (the Evil One), then it shouldn't matter what you call yourself or (I call myself) in terms of a religious title. ~Bro. Lamon

Sowing A Seed: Tithing, Giving, & Charity

Check out how the Torah, Gospel, & Qur'an are bearing witness to one another in regards to Tithing, Giving, & Charity... These scriptures fell on my heart this morning thought I'd share... *Many people look at Sowing A Seed solely as a monetary thing. God knew that not only should we spend in His way monetarily, but spend in His way with integrity and honesty--by pouring into and serving others. God desires that we give generously of ourselves also (our time and service)--not just our money! God desires that we don't withhold what He has poured, is pouring, and will pour into us, for our service to Him and His people. We have been chosen to be Servant Leaders, not "Chump Leaders" or "Lip-Servers," but to be "Drum Majors," for justice, peace, & righteousness. This is why we are out front not for our sake, but for God's salvation, mercy, and grace working in and through us for the benefit of not only ourselves but more importantly others! In my humble estimation, that is the greatest example of a "Cheerful Giver," Jesus The Messiah was that kind of giver; He asked us "Will you lay down your life for the sheep, or will you run when the wolf comes?" Sow you seeds in good work, and surely you will "Super-Abound!" -Peace Be With You, Bro. Lamon

A friend asked me a question do we tithe from our gross pay or net pay?

My response was growth, but more importantly tithe from your heart. It's not about a % with God.

Note: Scripture makes a case for both, but it depends on how one interprets it in Deuteronomy. Dave Ramsey of Financial Peace University says it this way "It (Deuteronomy) says to tithe on your net increase. If you think about an agrarian culture where that was written, if you had a flock of sheep and one was killed by a wolf but you had 11 new lambs, then you had an increase of 10. You would tithe on that. You can make a really good case for it biblically either way. I'm not going to argue about it. It doesn't matter. Just give and be a giver. It's about changing your spirit anyway."

Scriptural Study:

Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. -Duet15:10 NIV

I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things have I given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you. -1 Chr 29:17 NIV

A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.-Proverbs 11:25 NIV

But this, “Whoever sows frugally also reaps frugally, and whoever sows with bounty shall reap with bounty”; Every man according to what he is in his mind and not according to grief or of compulsion, for God loves the joyful giver. But God is able to multiply every favor toward you that you may always have whatever is sufficient for you in all things and that you may super abound in every good work, According to what is written: “He has dispersed and he has given to the poor, and his righteousness stands for eternity.” But he who gives seed to the sower and bread for food, he shall give and multiply your seed and increase the fruit of your righteousness, That you may be enriched in all things with the entire right of an heir- that which perfects thanksgiving to God by us. -2 Cor 9:6-10 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

And spend in the way of Allah (God) and cast not yourselves to perdition with your own hands, and do good (to others); surely Allah (God) loves the doers of good. -Holy Qur'an 2:195

They ask you as to what they should spend. Say: Whatever wealth you spend, it is for the parents and the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, and whatever good you do, Allah (God) surely knows it. -2:215

The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah (God) is as the parable of a grain growing seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains. And Allah (God) multiplies (further) for whom He pleases. And Allah (God) is Ample-giving, Knowing. (As for) those who spend their property in the way of Allah (God), then do not follow up what they have spent with reproach or injury, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and they shall have no fear nor shall they grieve. -2:261-262

A Woman's Dress is Her Virtuousness: What Do You Have On?

Lady in Tight Dress
Nation of Islam Women
Many of us stare at Muslim sisters or Catholic nuns whom wear head coverings known as a (veil, hijab, jilbab, khimar, or habits) especially when it's 90 degrees out side like "Why? Sister, Why?," not realizing that women wearing head coverings on their heads or clothing that does not reveal all their goods was practiced by ancient African and other Eastern civilizations.  The way a woman dressed back in the day was seen as scared and virtuous, and it reflected her divine nature.  She wasn't rockin' booty shorts and painted on dresses (know don't take me for being holier than thou because I like most men enjoy seeing an attractive woman walking down the street), but the way some women and in particular my sisters dress has gone too damn far, you might as well be naked!  Ladies, I am not try to tell you how to dress or even suggesting that you be a nun or MGT, but what I am doing is giving you a picture of an expression of virtuousness that suggests your Godly worth.  My thing is, aren't you sexually objectified enough in this world?

Fellas: I say no matter if a sister refers to herself as a "Bad Bitch," or doesn't have a clue of her value, we as men must still respect her.  Now, I know your saying "Bruh, how can I if she's puttin' herself out there like that," and how could she say we're being misogynistic?"  My answer is simple: See the Goddess in her.

As I digress... I had a "Soap Box" moment :-)

Here's where I was going...

Kenyan Nuns
Provocatively Tasteful or Not?
Most Christians do not know that women covering their hair at service was also a common practice within Christianity.  Today, it is more commonly known for being practiced by Muslim women (though not a requirement for women to wear "hijab" in the Qur'an per se; the practiced is upheld based on doctrinal belief from the Hadith of Sahih Bukhari), Catholic nuns, and some Orthodox Jewish traditions.  However, hair covering in the early church was the standard at one time for women, and still is today by some Judeo-Christian traditions.  Women were expected to cover their hair with a large scarf (or shash) while in church, according to (1 Cor 11:2-16).  Note: The narrative given by Paul on women covering their hair is viewed by some as a part of his later diatribe in (1 Cor 14:34) that cogently suggests that women are to remain silent in the church, as form of submissiveness, which I do not particular agree with.  The idea of women covering up here, I contend was and is symbolic of their divine virtuousness that should be honored, cherished,
and respected by men.

"Nuff Said!"
Moreover, in Orthodox synagogues, especially in the Ethiopian church men and women sat separately, with men on the left and women on the right (when facing the altar)--very similar to what you have seen for instance, if you've ever visited Mosque Maryam in Chicago.  Sisters covering their hair and sitting separately from the Brothers in the sanctuary is common among some Oriental Orthodox, Eastern Orthodox, (prior to the 60's) with Catholics, and with many conservative Protestants (i.e. Adventist churches).  This is an interesting interwoven parallel between the three Abrahamic faith traditions.  So, next time you see a sister covered don't stare in astonishment, but acknowledge that she is upholding her faith and conviction not because she is restricted or weak, but because she is striving to exemplify virtuousness through her expression of her Godly worth.  ~Peace Be With You, Bro. Lamon

Scriptural Study:

Paul speaking On Covering the Head in Worship (1 Cor 11:2-16 NIV)

Gabrielle Union  with Style  & Class
I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you. But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man,a and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved. For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.

A man ought not to cover his head,b since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own head, because of the angels. Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.

Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God.

O children of Adam, We haveindeed sent down to you clothing tocover your shame, and (clothing) forbeauty; and clothing that guardsagainst evil — that is the best. This is of the messages of Allah (God) that theymay be mindful. ~Surah 7:26 (Maulana Muhammad Ali Translation)

O Prophet, tell thy wives and thydaughters and the women of believersto let down upon them their over-garments. This is more proper, so thatthey may be known, and not be giventrouble. And Allah (God) is ever Forgiving, Merciful. ~Surah 33:59 (Maulana Muhammad Ali Translation)

“O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close around them. that will be better, so that they may be recognized and not annoyed. Allah is ever forgiving, merciful…” (Surah 33:59 from A. Yusef Ali’s translation of the Qur’an; other versions translate the original Arabic as “veils” where Ali uses “cloaks”).  ~Source: http://postcolonialstudies.emory.edu/women-islam-and-hijab/

Hadiths

“My Lord agreed with me (‘Umar) in three things … (2) And as regards the veiling of women, I said ‘O Allah’s Apostle! I wish you ordered your wives to cover themselves from the men because good and bad ones talk to them.’ So the verse of the veiling of the women was revealed” (Bukhari, v1, bk 8, sunnah 395). ~Source: http://postcolonialstudies.emory.edu/women-islam-and-hijab/

"Ayesha (rad.i-Allahu `anha) reported that Asma’ the daughter of Abu Bakr (rad.i-Allahu `anhu) came to the Messenger of Allah  while wearing thin clothing. He approached her and said: 'O Asma’! When a girl reaches the menstrual age, it is not proper that anything should remain exposed except this and this. He pointed to the face and hands." [Abu Dawud]

Ibn Qudama in al-Mughni (1:349) explained that showing the face and hands are a specific dispensation within the general meaning of the hadith "All of the woman’s body is considered her nakedness [to those outside the mahram relationship or her husband]." (al-mar'atu `awra)

`Ayesha (rad.i-Allahu `anha) said: "I used to enter the room where the Messenger of Allah  and my father (Abu Bakr) were later buried in without having my garment on me, saying it is only my husband and my father. But when 'Umar ibn Al-Khattab (rad.i-Allahu `anh) was later buried in (the same place), I did not enter the room except that I had my garment on being shy from 'Umar."

Food For Thought For The Faith Community Part 2

Spirituality is a way of excepting the fact that there is a spiritual force in the universe larger than all of mankind. But someone had to come along and invent a word called God. Then some had to serve another God and say mine is better than yours, and some had to create faith, someone said I have the true faith.”— Dr. John Henrik Clarke

The Three Faiths
The above statement by Our Great Scholar & Historian, Dr. Clarke makes one ponder and reason... the disunity, discord, and bitterness among "God's Chosen People," "Glory of God," and/or "The Human Family" that we the members of "The Human Family," are described as, in both the scriptures of the Bible and Qur'an. This disconnect, strife, and quarreling among those especially, who are Jews, Christians, and Muslims is so appalling that it makes me sick to my stomach!  Especially, in the present context of evil machination, mendacity, and moral decadence that we are all experiencing and being subjected to on some level today, knowingly or unknowingly; willingly or unwillingly.

WE MUST BE UNITED!!! WE MUST BE ONE!!!

I can see why so many youth and people in general are turned off by religion. The Enemy of us all is so deceptively wicked and wise that the world of religion and faith has fallen on its death bed! It gives no hope to a people yearning for hope and like Min. Farrakhan said "Even if God were to intervene in our affairs and raise among us a divine light for us--we would be in such darkness that the light would be among us, and we would not be able to comprehend the presence of the light..." So, true indeed...

Today, there is a crop of Visionary Leaders coming out of the synagogue, temple, church, mosque, and perhaps more importantly "The Streets," today, whom have not fallen prey to the Enemy's trick that will restore Right Order and Balance to this Planet once again... Time Is Now!

The God above will not refrain any longer from bringing wrath to this "hell of a place," which will destroy, and that is destroying the idea of evil machination, mendacity, and moral decadence on this planet. Making way for the establishment of a complete Freedom, Justice, and Equality to reign once again, wherein all people can live among one another under the banner of true Peace! -The Brotha

Coming Judgement

Universal Greetings & Salutations to The Members of The Human Family of The One God

God's Judgement
In the Bible it says "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows" (Gal 6:7).

And in the Holy Qur'an it says "So the evil (consequences) of what they did shall afflict them and that which they mocked shall encompass them." (Surah 16: 34).

In this time of spiritual unbalance and disunity, which has The People of The Book, and the World in total disarray.  The Scriptures of the Bible & Qur'an are both fulfilling themselves as I write. We are seeing strange and unusual weather patterns, economic collapses, rising violence, and all other sorts of other signs that an end is near.  The pressures of the wickedness of this world is causing havoc among all people, and in order to defeat this overt and covert wickedness--all people of good will and intent must unify!  The Creator will not continue to settle for our foolish quarrels and bitterness towards one another.  Throughout the various monotheistic faith traditions especially, we see strife inside and outside among these traditions; and it is hated by God that we would continue to engage in such rancor, while our common Enemy and his minions continue to run and rule this world.
Time is Running Out!

Those who are prepared to endure God's Wrath, will be those who have kept to their duty, and obeyed God's instructions. The very reason Jesus The Messiah entered into the world 2000 years ago was to give us the Greatest Example of obedience, preparation, servant leadership and brotherhood known to man that no other Servant of God could provide us.  We must be doers of the Word, and continue to follow in The Masters' footsteps.  The time has come in which The Prophets predicted and he (Jesus) confirmed that God would return to judge this worlds nations.  “And the nations were angry and your anger has come.... Rev 13:18 ABPE

For there shall be another vision for the appointed time; and He shall speak of the end, and it shall not fail; though it tarry, wait for it, for it shall surely come; it shall not delay. Behold, it is puffed up-his soul is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith. And surely he, whom wine betrays, a haughty man whose dwelling shall not remain, who widened his desire like the nether- world-and he is like death and shall never be sated, and he gathered all the nations to himself and collected to himself all peoples. -Habakkuk 2:3-5 CJB *Study chapter in context

For the justice of God is revealed in it from faith to faith, according to that which is written: “The just one shall live by faith.” For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all the evils and the wickedness of the children of men, those who are holding the truth in evil. Because a knowledge of God is revealed to them, for God has revealed it to them. For the secrets of God from the foundation of the world are appearing to his creatures through intelligence, even his power and his eternal Godhead, that they will be without a defense, Because they knew God, and they did not glorify him as God, nor did they give him thanks, so that they became destitute in their reasoning and became dull in their heart without understanding. -Romans 1:17-21 ABPE *Study chapter in context

So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.  So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith. -Galatians 6:7-10 NRSV *Study chapter in context

And they ask you to hasten on the evil before the good, and indeed there have been exemplary punishments before them; and most surely your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness to people, notwithstanding their injustice; and most surely your Lord is severe in requiting (evil).  And those who disbelieve say: Why has not a sign been sent down upon him from his Lord? "I call on the young men of America who must make a choice today to take a stand on this issue. Tomorrow may be too late. The book may close. And don't let anybody make you think that God chose America as his divine, messianic force to be a sort of policeman of the whole world. God has a way of standing before the nations with judgment, and it seems that I can hear God saying to America, "You're too arrogant! And if you don't change your ways, I will rise up and break the backbone of your power, and I'll place it in the hands of a nation that doesn't even know my name. Be still and know that I'm God." -Martin Luther King Jr, circa 1967

This is a time for me to examine my own relationship with God. Is it real or is it fake? Is it forever or is it for show? Is is something that you do for the sake of the public or is it something that you do for the sake of eternity? [voice rising] This is a time for me to examine my own, and a time for you to examine your own relationship with God -- self examination. -Excerpt from Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright Post 9/11 Sermon delivered September 16, 2011

Everywhere we look on the Earth, nations are angry. When a nation is angry, that's one thing, but it says, “… thy wrath is come.” The Wrath of God is something to be terrified of, because when God gets after you, He uses the very thing that we depend on for our life and our health and well being, and makes it an enemy to us. So, the worst person to get into a fight with is The God of Justice. -Excerpt from The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan at Life Center Church of God in Christ in Chicago, Ill., April 25, 2009

Traditional Thinking Pt 2

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. -Isaiah 55:8-9 NRSV

As we all journey towards our respective goals and objectives in life, never be afraid to step outside of the box of 'traditional thinking (a way of reason or judgement based upon relative experiences and/or ways that are rigid),' and/or 'groupthink (The practice of thinking or making decisions as a group in a way that discourages creativity or individual responsibility).'  Within our walk with God, we have to be unashamed of where He is leading us to.  Even though it may oppose and go against the traditional and/or normal ways of doing things; a person's character will ultimately determine how he/she interprets God's good, pleasing, and perfect will over their lives.  We can only leave the hindrance of our comfort zone behind through the shear difficultly of stepping out on pure faith. (Rom 12:22 ABPE)

Those around us may not fully understand or get our process, friendships may be severed, we may be mocked and scorned, but "If we obey what God says according to our sincere belief and moreover in His Word, God will break us from these traditional beliefs and patterns of normalcy that misrepresent Him."  Moreover if you and I stay true to God, God will see us through as He saw all his faithful servants through.  The life of Isa (Jesus) is such an awesome model to follow because he was the 'Ultimate Example,' by the way in which he walked and lived his life outside the box of traditional thinking, and more importantly by doing God's will (Luke 22:42 ABPE).

When Jesus came into the world, he was not loved in a world like this. If you really follow him, you will not be loved in a world like this. -Minister Farrakhan via Twitter 4/8/12

Our demonstration of obedience to God allows us to attain a better and higher level knowledge God; which ultimately provides us a better and higher level knowledge of Ourselves that is called 'self-mastery.'  We must be bold and willing to come to a position of giving up the traditions that hinder us and leap out on faith; "because Lord Jehovah is God, our sustainer and our helper; Lord Jehovah will give love and honor and will not withhold His good things from those who walk in perfection" (Psalm 84:11 ABPE).  Remain true to God, and He will see you through!  -More To Come Next Time, God Willing -Bro. Lamon

When I call out the name of the Lord, ascribe greatness to our God.  The deeds of the [Mighty] Rock are perfect, for all His ways are just; a faithful God, without injustice He is righteous and upright. -(Deuteronomy 32: 3-4 CJB)

With the loyal you show yourself loyal; with the blameless you show yourself blameless; with the pure you show yourself pure; and with the crooked you show yourself perverse.  For you deliver a humble people, but the haughty eyes you bring down.  It is you who light my lamp; the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. By you I can crush a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.  This God—his way is perfect; the promise of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all who take refuge in him.  For who is God except the Lord?  And who is a rock besides our God?— the God who girded me with strength, and made my way safe.  He made my feet like the feet of a deer, and set me secure on the heights.  -Psalm 18:25-33 NRSV

Then Elihu continued and said: “Hear my words, you wise men, and give ear to me, you who know;

Mankind is a single nation. So Allåh (God) raised prophets as bearers of good news and as warners, and He revealed with them the Book with truth, that it might judge between people concerning that in which they
differed. And none but the very people who were given it differed about it after clear arguments had come to them, envying one another. So Allåh (God) ha s guided by His will those who believe to the truth about which they differed. And Allåh (God) guides whom He pleases to the right path. -HQ 2:213 MMA

Allåh (God)— there is no god but He, the Ever-living, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist. Slumber overtakes Him not, nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them. And they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He pleases. His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Great. -HQ 2:255 MMA

Allåh (God) imposes not on any soul a duty beyond its scope.  For it, is that which it earns (of good), and against it that which it works (of evil). Our Lord, punish us not if we forget or make a mistake.  Our Lord, do not lay on us a burden as Thou didst lay on those before us. Our Lord, impose not on us (afflictions) which we have not the strength to bear. And pardon us! And grant us protection! And have
mercy on us! Thou art our Patron, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people. -HQ 2:286 MMA

Say: Surely my Lord amplifies the means of subsistence for whom He pleases of His servants and straightens (them) for whom (He pleases), and whatever thing you spend, He exceeds It in reward, and He is the best of Sustainers. -HQ 34:39

Traditional Thinking Part 1

Traditional Thinking...

The prelude of my accepting my journey and calling in to ministry and attending seminary... WOW! I was fighting the modern day Jonah in me at the time! 4/11/12

This is in response to dialogue b/t myself and a sista who's in seminary school in NYC. We were discussing seminary schools, traditional religious thought and the Importance of Jesus. I thought it was so powerful that it should be posted Thanks for the insightful discourse sista!!!

Sistas words... "Most Master's Programs for Seminaries are diverse, this one is based on the Christian faith but the professors CHALLENGE you to look outside of Christianity to consider what was happening in world outside of Christianity. And, I LOVE that!!! I have seen many African American students that grew up in the Christian faith (especially Baptist, Pentecostal, etc) struggle with looking outside of Christianity because that's all they know...but it's a wonderful learning experience to do so

My response I've looked at schools all over the country to be honest. Yeah, many of us who grow up in the Christian faith tend to think just how you explained and it bothers me! I love the works of Christ and honor his name--however I feel our people are so fixated with Christ we tend to loose focus of the one who sent him. In my humble estimation, it gives our people a blurry view of the power of his works and the scripture he brought.

It bothers me how some clergy teach Christ as some passive figure who didn't stand up for what he was sent to do and fulfill. I guess some would say I'm a radical Believer like a Nat Turner, Dr. King in his last years, or Min. Malcolm X. However so, change only comes from the force and power of truth and Christ was the greatest example of that!!!

Sistas words... "I am so feeling what you are saying! YESSSS!!! People forget about God...and the power of God. And, Jesus is a powerful figure because he stood of for JUSTICE and TRUTH... and was radical about it!

I did a paper for one of my classes entitled "Exposing Repression through Redaction using Exegesis" where I talked about how the biblical text has been redacted so much by people that it was used as an oppressive tool for many people especially women. More specifically, denying the presence of femininity of the deity...where women could relate to God. God, as portrayed by the biblical writers, is the forceful, powerful male figure/deity that judges, etc... and the question is... Is that REALLY who God is?

After being exposed to greater theological thinking, it just scares me to know how much stock people put in the Bible... that was written by man... than the God that gives us the faith to achieve anything that we want."

My response WOW!!! Powerful... and I'm feeling u too!!! Many people forget about how scripture has been used to oppress, suppress, depress, and subjugate people to away of thinking that is in direct conflict with the scriptural teachings. For instance, I have disagreements with the work of some Missionaries in Indigenous lands. The Bible has been used in many cases to pimp the people!

Although, I believe a new paradigm shift is happening in religion because those who were once asleep are now beginning to see scripture in context outside of what has been the norm. Those who have been in control are scared of this new shift and that's why I believe the stakes have raised recently on a spiritual level...

I'll get off my soapbox and not get to deep!!!

However, many forget it was God who gave Christ the power and authority to do the things he did. We believe that Christ "paid it all," when he died for us... but that is only half of the story... he did pay it all for us however we still have to work and show ourselves approved!!! It's the walk, the carrying of our own cross and I think we forget that half!!!

Sistas words... "So, true. Preachers must realized that they cripple people more with traditional thinking rather seeking out new knowledge. Wow! You've said a lot. It's okay... I was on my own soapbox earlier with my friends. LOL It seems like you will be a great asset to whatever seminary you attend. Because you are coming in the door with an open mind. And, that's WONDERFUL!!!"

But I will say that if we as the "African-American", "Black", "Minority", "Melenan-Abundant", "Challenged Race", Or the human race period; if we would have discussions more about serious topics like this we would find less times for all that other non-sense.

I love my race, but it's too many so called bro's holding down the one that really wants a positive change in his or her life. Man, we can speak eloquently and make all types of conversation, but until we make a clique or build a school, farm, more media or t.v. stations, and unite the common blackman in Africa and all over the world, we are wasting our time. How Do We See One Another?

"It is clear to me that those who are getting paid off of our ignorance are gonna try to keep us in that state of being as long as they can..."  READY4REVELATION

"I See The World In My Eyes."
-Lost Smile

As believers and followers of Almighty God or as righteous members of the Human Family, we must look beyond the labels, titles, words, etc. that have been created by which we identity each other..  Satan, or the universal paradigm of evil, who is the Arch Deceiver of the whole world has us perplexed in continued strife with one another, mostly based on how we view one another.  When we see each other through the eyes of religion, tradition, race, gender or class, etc. we don't see the "Glory of God, " as it says in the scriptures or beauty, in one another that  we all were created to be.  We set up lines of limitation and division based upon our limited scope of understanding of one another.  Thus, we draw further and further away from the universal divine laws and principles established in the universe long before any written scriptures came to be.

"Road-Runner Like Speed"
God doesn't care what you or I call ourselves!  He only cares that you Believe in Him, heed the universal laws of peace and love, heed words of the prophets and or wise one's that have come among us and follow the righteous and loving examples of those He has sent among us!  Evil and the architects of evil only care what we call ourselves so the continuation of division, strife and chaos can continue to distract and deceive us from pursing God; and the universal laws of high moral and principle with a "Road-Runner" like speed, which will surely end this worlds current way of doing things that go against the original Divine order of how things were meant to be.

Scriptural & Literary Support:

You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord (Lev 19:18 NRSV).

If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth (1 John 1:6 NIV).

Those who say, “I love God,” and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen (1 John 4:20 NRSV).

And spend in the way of Allah (God) and cast not yourselves to perdition with your own hands, and do good (to others); surely Allah (God) loves the doers of good (Holy Quran 2:195).

And when he turns back, he runs along in the land that he may cause mischief in it and destroy the tilth and the stock, and Allah (God) does not love mischief-making (HQ 2:205).

O you who believe! do not take your fathers and your brothers for guardians if they love unbelief more than belief; and whoever of you takes them for a guardian, these it is that are the unjust (HQ 9:23).

All three Holy Books describe the human family as "The Glory of God," but how can we truly be the Glory of God if we continue to allow spiritual stagnation to hinder us?   If we truly say that we are followers of Jesus Christ, then we will not be afraid to do what Jesus did, say what Jesus said, and pick up our cross.  "Even though humans are referred to in the scriptures as 'The Glory of God,' many fail to recognize the divinity that exists within. -Min. Farrakhan  -Taken form from The Brotha's Corner 11/16/11 blog entry: Baby Spiritual Food vs Mature Spiritual Food Pt 2: Bewae!  *Click the link below to go to blog: http://thebrotha1.blogspot.com/2011/11/baby-spritual-food-vs-mature-spiritual_16.html

God has never created anything that is mediocre, The Qur’an and the Bible says everything that God creates glorifies Him, but man and woman are referred to as 'The Glory of God.' That’s who you are, but you have not recognized how great you are.  Everything that God has created is marked with excellence. Then how could we be 'The Glory of God' and not have within us gifts from Him that will manifest His presence?” -Farrakhan

You have to create problems to create profit. There is no profit under the current paradigm in saving lives, putting balance on this planet, having justice and peace or anything else. There is just no profit there." - Michael Ruppert

Are You Ready To See The Bigger Picture? Focused Eyes Pt 2

Mankind is ready to see the paramount picture. It's time for us to get a grip! It's time to let go of old sentiments, veiled references, and crumbs that fell from the table. Embrace a greater hope and a brand new day!  -Dr. Nathaniel Duffey III

Pour Into Your Spirit Man

God will never be real to you and I until we come face to face with Him through His perfect and permissive will over our lives--that allow us to be totally free.  This is accomplished by studying the scriptures with a critical, logical, and open minded approach.  "Then we will know and can boldly proclaim, 'In all the world, my God, there is none but Thee, there is none but Thee.'” (Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest, accessed November 17, 2011, http://utmost.org/).

"Study to show thy self approved."
Only through an in depth scriptural study that establishes an intimate relationship with The Creator through His Christ and the prophets He sent which is supported by daily study, application, prayer, and mediation does one begins to gain a deeper "Spiritual Aptitude."  Through this process we become logically and strategically grounded in our beliefs and we do not get caught up into group think or traditional thinking.  We can no longer solely rely upon Sunday School, Saturday Temple, Jummah prayer or what "Reverend Chicken Wing said."  We fall into a comfort zone of "Spiritual Stagnation," when we do so, based upon long held beliefs or traditions that have prevent us from growing and seeking a higher knowledge and realm of God.

We must grow from the baby stage of spiritual development into a mature stage of spiritual development.  In that we are active participants in every part of our daily faith walk with God.  We are no longer a heard of cattle or bodies in a pew, we now learn to aim for new spiritual heights because we are no longer the same.  We are now renewed and transformed.  We are always on our Post!

Much of our stagnation and confusion along our faith walk surrounds the birth, work, identity, purpose, and mission of The Messiah, Jesus.  There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus is the only begotten 'Son' of God in the "intended intrinsic sense and Will of God," (a human being [man] who is in relation to and in unity with the direct Divine Source or Originator of creation--who is God), i.e., hence Jesus saying "I and my Father are One."  Moreover (A thing or essence of, the intrinsic [Belonging naturally; essential] nature or indispensable quality of something or someone, that determines its character.  Regarded as representative or symbolic of something or someone else, i.e. God.  One thing conceived as representing another; a symbol: i.e., Jesus implies and invokes God qualities or is a sign of God's qualities.  (Stand as a name or symbol for, God).   (Definitions adapted from the Farlex Free Online Dictionary) (*See Scriptural and Literary Support below for an in depth explanation)

Jesus' attributes also reflect the 'Sun' metaphorically speaking (The star around which the earth orbits. The sun is the central body of the solar system.  It provides the light and energy that sustains...) of God, i.e., "I am The Light, The Truth, and The Way," or as Minister Farrakhan suggests "Jesus is a light giving Son and Sun."

Jesus the Lamb of God
Jesus was the Divine Spiritual Representative of God between God and man during his physical presence on the planet.  Furthermore, Jesus is God's Divine Reminder and Mediator through the Holy Spirit (The Comforter), scriptures affirm that he Yeshua/Isa (Jesus) was sent for a sign like Musa (Moses) to deliver a specific message and do a prophetic and practical work.  Moreover, the Bible and Ouran line up, they both describe him (Jesus) as the Messiah (The Promised One or Deliverer), whom was above all prophets and messengers.  Moreover implying that his Divine power(s) and authority were given by God, The Father.

"'How can anyone serve God in ignorance?' the Minister asked. “Ignorance is the enemy of God. Knowledge will make us the friend of God and it will allow us to befriend one another, therefore all of the prophets taught us to get knowledge,” -Farrakhan

One falls into spiritual confusion when we place Jesus on the same level as God or suggest that Jesus is God.  Clearly throughout scripture this is not the case and out of Jesus' own mouth he declares so on several occasions. “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son so that the Son may glorify you" (John 17:1 NRSV, *See more scriptural support below).

We whom follow Christ must come to this conclusion through much deeper and very surgical scriptural study and examination.  Coming to this conclusion does not belittle or diminish Jesus' divine intrinsic value, purpose, or presence.  What it does do, is, allow us to follow him right and exact; therefore giving us the chance to understand more profoundly his divine intrinsic value, purpose, and presence without making him an idol of worship besides God or devaluing his reason for being sent.

As I have noted in previous writings--Jesus is indeed worthy of our admiration, honor, deference, and praise.  But he never expected or taught us to worship him, however he did teach us to follow him!  “If any of you want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. (Matt 16:24 NRSV)

To God Be The Glory!
We are now preparing ourselves to become more equipped take on this new spiritual paradigm shift with a renewed faithfulness and excitement, in that we are growing and becoming more like Jesus.  We can now do that greater works that Jesus proclaim that we would do.  We are in the spiritual game of chess, which is warfare.  A spiritual warfare that requires our full attention, detail, and participation.  We are now free from the cowardice and stagnation that has made us timid to question or go against the grain of what we have been traditionally taught.  You and I are now able to be true followers, disciples, and students of Almighty God and His Christ.  No longer bowing down to or selling out to the powers or forces of this world.  But completely surrendering ourselves to do the Will of Almighty God, in Spirit and in Truth.  "To God Be The Glory!"

This type of thinking upsets the world of traditional religion as we know it!  It turns Satan's world upside down because he is the author of the confusion that has the whole world of religion in chaos today and has mankind not being the best examples of the Almighty that we can be! To God Be The Glory for this kind of teachin' -n- preachin'!!!  -The Brotha

Listen, children, to a father’s instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight; for I give you good precepts: do not forsake my teaching.  When I was a son with my father, tender, and my mother’s favorite, he taught me, and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live.  Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.  Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever else you get, get insight.  Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her.  She will place on your head a fair garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.”-Proverbs 4:1-9 NRSV *Also see Proverbs 4:10-27

For your immortal spirit is in all things. Therefore you correct little by little those who trespass, and you remind and warn them of the things through which they sin, so that they may be freed from wickedness and put their trust in you, O Lord.-Wisdom of Solomon 12:2 NRSV

“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? -Matthew 16:24-26 NKJV also see *Mark 8:34–37; Luke 9:23–25

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” -John 14: 1-7 NRSV

Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and you still do not know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own; but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; but if you do not, then believe me because of the works themselves. Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it. -John 14:8-14 NRSV

“Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son so that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all people, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth by finishing the work that you gave me to do. So now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had in your presence before the world existed. -John 17:1-5 NRSV

“I have made your name known to those whom you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything you have given me is from you; for the words that you gave to me I have given to them, and they have received them and know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. I am asking on their behalf; I am not asking on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those whom you gave me, because they are yours." -John 17:6-10 NRSV

I ask that when I am present I need not show boldness by daring to oppose those who think we are acting according to human standards. Indeed, we live as human beings, but we do not wage war according to human standard for the weapons of our warfare are not merely human, but they have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every proud obstacle raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ. We are ready to punish every disobedience when your obedience is complete.-2 Corinthians 10:4 NRSV

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. -2 Tim 15:4 KJV

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth. -2 Tim 15:4 NRSV

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son”? -Hebrews 1:1-5 NRSV

*Side Note: When the scripture above says "'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You? And again: 'I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son'”? Bears witness to what I explained in the second paragraph above. Furthermore, Jesus is the begotten Son of God not in the literal sense of a male and female bringing a child into existence through sexual intercourse but in the "intended" intrinsic sense of the God's thought through His perfect and permissive will that gave rise to, or brought about the existence of Jesus through the womb of Mary and her encounter with the Supernatural as noted in both the Bible and Qur'an. (*See attached scriptural notes for further reference): [Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit]. -Matthew 1:18 NRSV

[She (Mary) said: My Lord! when shall there be a son (born) to I me, and man has not touched me? He said: Even so, Allah creates what He pleases; when He has decreed a matter, He only says to it, Be, and it is]. -Our'an 3:47 Surah Ale-'Imran (The Family of 'Imran)

“See, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book." I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me; but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your comrades the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!” -Rev 22:7-9 NSRV

Allah (God)! there is no god but He the Living the Self-Subsisting Eternal. It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step) in truth the Book confirming what went before it; and He sent down Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this as a guide to mankind and He sent down the Criterion (of judgment between right and wrong). Then those who reject Faith in the Signs of Allah will suffer the severest penalty and Allah is Exalted in Might Lord of Retribution. From Allah verily nothing is hidden on earth or in the heavens. He it is Who shapes you in the wombs as He pleases. There is no god but He the Exalted in Might the Wise. -Qur'an 3:2-6 Surah Ale-'Imran (The Family of 'Imran)

We ordained therein for them: "Life for life eye for eye nose for nose ear for ear tooth for tooth and wounds equal for equal." But if anyone remits the retaliation by way of charity it is an act of atonement for himself. And if any fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed they are (no better than) wrong-doers. And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary confirming the law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light and confirmation of the law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah. Let the people of the Gospel Judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed they are (no better than) those who rebel. -Qur'an 5:45-47 Surah Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread)

“No human should be afraid to know more. No human being should feel threatened by one who possesses knowledge,” said Min. Farrakhan. “So much ignorance exists that all of us who know whatever degree of knowledge we have, we have a responsibility to those who do not know to share that knowledge not seeking to make them our followers or slaves but share knowledge to improve them spiritually (and) mentally that they may improve themselves socially, politically, economically and otherwise,” he said. *Excerpts from Holy Day of Atonement Speech 2010

"Jesus was not Christian! He didn't come to start a religious institution. The religious idea of Jesus came later. Jesus came to destroy that system, and let the Idea of God out of the psychological box that self-righteous men had placed Him in, and the world perceived Him in. -Dr. Nathaniel Duffey III
