"We must always be political. I think that culture, for example is always very political. It always has been and always will be....because a culture represents the values, the values for which one fights. If one is fighting for a revolution, one is talking about more than just changing governments and power, and that is changing the value system. What carries that value system is one's culture.... -Bro. Rondu Allah
The statement of above reminds me of the Master Teacher Yeshua (Isa, Jesus) of 2000 years ago and what he stood for during his time. He upset the value and power system of his day and that is why he was hated. In our day he would be described as a revolutionary. Currently we don't have many among us like Jesus who challenge the value and power system(s) of our day. The only one I can think of who even comes close in our time is Farrakhan...my disclaimer is this, I'm not a registered Muslim in the Nation, so my opinion is totally un-biased for those critics out there who may say well... "you're a Follower, so naturally your opinion will be in favor of. It doesn't take rocket science to recognize when you have a special man among you, regardless what your religious faith is, you know when you see and hear a man of God. Furthermore, no matter your religious faith, they all are rooted in the Practitioner standing against evil and being a person of righteousness. So, if you agree with those core beliefs which are the core beliefs of every monotheistic religious system. You know who this man Farrakhan is. I don't know of many Christian preachers or Jewish scholars who can teach Bible & Torah like this man does. And I darn for sure, don't know to many Islamic scholars who can teach Qur'an like that man.
Figuratively speaking there is a bomb in the Gilead of our day and it is ticking--we need a Balsam (balm) instead of a bomb today! . My prayer is that when it does go off, that me and my loved one's are prepared. I pray for righteous among us that we a paying attention to the time and are not in loss. I pray that God's mercy is extended among those He loves and I even pray for the enemy that God's light will shine upon them.
Scriptural & Literary Support:
"We talk Christ like the grocery store talks apples...you can't make mockery of him..." "We're afraid to walk with Jesus because we're afraid to go through what he had to go through." -Farrakhan
"There is a balm in Gilead
To make the wounded whole;
There is a balm in Gilead
To heal the sin-sick soul."
